Colombia
The South American country of Columbia borders Venezuela and Brazil to the east, Peru and Ecuador to the south, the Caribbean Sea to the north and the Pacific to the West. The official language of Columbia is Spanish, but other languages such as English are spoken. Columbia is rich in natural resources; oil, coffee, and coal are principle exports. For many years during the 1980's and 1990's, tourism was almost non-existent because of high crime rates and dangers associated with the drug trade. This has changed in recent years. Famous for the production of coffee, flowers, emeralds, coal and oil, popular destinations include Tayrona National Park, and the capital of Bogota.
