Congo (Brazzaville)

The humid, hot country of Congo, a general term for a geographical area in Africa that refers mainly to present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo, lies in the western central part of Africa. The congo is located directly on the Equator. There are three main rivers found in the Congo. These rivers include Congo, Ubangi, and the Kouilou. The Beteke Plateau is one of the more known landmarks in the Congo. Stanley Pool, a well known lake can be found nearby. Like many countries in Africa football is very popular. Congo has a national football team that goes by the name Diables Rouges (Red Devils). Universities found in the cities of Kinshasa and Lubumbashi provide excellent learning opportunities. These two universities are the top two found in the Congo.
