Gambia
Known for a culture rich in agriculture, fishing, music and dance, tropical Gambia is the smallest country on the African mainland. The River Gambia, known simply as "The River," is the center of life and transportation and the country's primary landmark. Like the Pyramids and Temples of Ancient Egypt and the ruins of Zimbabwe, the stone circles of Gambia are impressive remains of ancient and mysterious times. Popular sports of Gambia are soccer and boxing. Many members of the Gambian national soccer team have gone on to play for the Major League Soccer (MLS) association.
