Guyana

Guyana, a sovereign state on the northern coast of South America, is home to the magnificent Kaieteur Falls, the largest singles drop waterfall in the world. This spectacular country, also known as the Land of Six Races of People, is also home to many astounding landmarks such as the popular St. George's Cathedral, the Demerara Harbour Bridge, Stabroek Market and University of Guyana. Mashramani in Guyana is a time for rejoicing as Guyanese celebrated the freedom their beautiful country gained from Britain in 1966. It became a republic in 1970. During this festive time, decorative floats decorate some of the main roads of Guyana. In addition to its many landmarks and festivals, tourist to Guyana can also enjoy the rainforest where diversity is at its maximum.
