The Republic of Kiribati is an island nation located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean which extends for 33 atolls on and near the equator. Tourism is a major industry here with visitors being drawn to the natural beauty of the islands. Lagoon and hiking tours, bird watching and swimming, snorkeling, fishing and scuba diving are all popular activities here.
