Mozambique

Mozambique a country in southeastern Africa, is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west and Swaziland and South Africa to the southwest. Fort Sao Sebastio stands tall on Mozambique half a century after it was constructed. It took fifty years to build and exhibits vintage Portuguese construction acumen at its best. Nearby is the also ancient Nossa Senhora de Baluarte Chapel that has been recently restored and features exquisite Portuguese vaulted architecture and is considered the oldest European structure in the southern hemisphere. Football is popular in Mozambique with over 37 local clubs and a number of championship derbies.
