Papua New Guinea is a country in Oceania, occupying the eastern half of the island of New Guinea. It is filled with picturesque landmarks including the Kokoda track, Black Cat tracks, and Mount Wilhelm, the highest mountain in the country. Furthermore, there are many diving spots in the country such as Kimbe Bay, Alotau, Tufi, and Kavieng. Hula Beach, East New Britain, Milne Bay, and Wewak, also perfect for those who love to surf. There are many festivals in the country, including the Coffee Festival in in Goroka, Hiri Moale Festival in Port Moresby, Kundu and Canoe Festival in Alotau, and the National Mask Festival in Rabaul. It is one of the most culturally diverse countries on Earth, with over 850 indigenous languages and at least as many traditional societies.
