Saint Kitts and Nevis

Located in the Leeward Island Archipelago of the West Indies lies the two island nation of St Kitts and Nevis. Nevis is a very small island with only one road circling it. The main settlement of Charleston only requires a 15 minute stroll to travel from one end of town to the other end. Charleston is the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton who served as the first United States Secretary of the Treasury. The Hamilton plantation maintained a sugar production operation until the early 1950s. Tourism, agriculture and light manufacturing drive the economy of the two island nation.
