Ukraine
A number of river systems flow through Ukraine which borders the Russian Federation to the northeast, Belaru, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the west, Romania and Moldova to the southwest, and the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to the southeast. The Dnieper is Europe’s third largest river, and it flows through the central part of the Ukraine. The country, which is the second largest in land mass in Europe, has around three thousand lakes covering only about three percent of the country’s area. Animal life includes bears, wolves, wild boars, deer and elk, among others. The country is home to a large number of libraries, the largest being the Central Library of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. It is one of the largest refiners of metal products in Eastern Europe and is also know for its Antonov aircraft among others and high technological goods giving it great potential for future growth.
