Find Phonebooks by Country

International Directory

At this time, Phonebooks.com only offers information on North American phone numbers. We do offer a directory containing information that may be helpful when calling many countries, such as, their dialing information, a list of local telephone directories and more.

To lookup an international person or phone number from within the US we first recommend narrowing your search to the specific country which the person resides. Few countries have the "people finder businesses" that we see in the US so, it is often more reliable to look for the information you are looking for the counties telephone directory.

Telephone directories are most often organized by geographic region, so to find an international phone number you must first locate the local phonebook for that country. Depending upon the size of the country, numbers may be further divided by city, state or township. This can create complexity in locating the international number your looking for.

Something to remember is international numbers do not always abide by the same format as our 10 digit configuration.

When dialing within North America you would begin with "1" for long distance, then the area code (this designation can tell us which state and even region of the state the number originated) next the exchange (this three digit number, can help to more specifically identify the location and the original service provider), and finally, the last 4 digits of the number are the unique identifier.

When dialing abroad you may end up with a 13 digit phone number or even more. To first dial the country you will need the international prefix, for example the any time you are calling abroad from the US, you must first dial "011", following this is sometimes an additional country code. After these numbers will be the individual's phone number. It is common for these to be formatted as either 2 sets of 5 digit numbers (ie XXXXX XXXXX) or 5 sets of 2 digit numbers (ie XX XX XX XX XX).

Using our search box above you can find the country you wish to call and lookup the prefix/calling code needed to dial.

If you are do not know the country with which the person you are looking for resides, you can try one of these "world phonebooks", however, in most instances these phonebooks are far less percise without a specified country.
